Dunkin’ Brands Signs Deal to Open 5 New Stores in North Carolina

Dunkin’ Brands Group (DNKN) said Monday it has signed store development agreements with two franchise groups to build five Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Greensboro, Wilmington and Greenville communities of North Carolina.

The first deal covers two new locations with an existing franchisee, while the second deal covers the establishment of three new locations with an existing franchisee together with new investors. The first restaurants under the deals are scheduled to open in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Shares were 1.1% higher before midday.
